KAOPRIME 15

For coatings applications, this very fine particle size kaolin clay exhibits excellent brightness, providing for good tint strength and opacity. KAOPRIMETM 15 is suited for water-based paint systems where high holdout and gloss are desired. KAOPRIMETM 15 can be used with other clay products, particularly OPAMAXTM 16 as part of a TiO2 extender package. For plastics applications, this very fine particle, high brightness product is used in f-PVC and plastisol formulations as a white pigment, TiO2 extender, and a means to improve mechanical properties. KAOPRIMETM 15 typically allows for a reduction in formulations cost compared to precipitated calcium carbonate and TiO2.
