KAOPRIME 27

This water-washed, coarse kaolin clay is perfect for architectural coatings and e-coat primers. Its low oil absorption will allow for higher loadings in paints and coatings. KAOPRIMETM 27 is designed for use in water-based systems. Its large particle size, whiteness, and low oil absorption combine to make it a cost-effective filler. For Plastics Applications, KAOPRIMETM 27 is a coarse clay with a high aspect ratio designed for use in glass reinforced thermosets such as pultrusion profiles, sheet molding compound, and bulk molding compound. Its larger particle size and purity ensure low resin demand and the ability to aid in glass and fiver carrying and mold flow. In the curing and end use, KAOPRIMETM 27 will help reducing crazing and shrinkage and assists in moderating the exotherm.
